Simultaneous interpreter in action<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The simple but crucial difference to translation<\/a> is that in interpreting, the spoken message is transferred orally into another language, while translators reproduce a written text in the target language.<\/p>\n

People often mistakenly speak about simultaneous or synchronized translation. However, the simultaneous or synchronized (written) tranlsation of a text would be extremely difficult.<\/p>\n

Conference interpreters<\/strong> not only work at international conferences, but also at very varied events where the participants speak different languages<\/strong>.<\/strong> They could include an awards ceremony, a general assembly, a panel discussion or a reading in front of a large audience, or indeed a confidential meeting with business partners, a training course or a factory tour.<\/p>\n

Depending on the setting, either simultaneous, consecutive or whispered (chuchotage) interpreting is performed<\/a> .<\/p>\n

\nMost of the time at least. In the interpreting booth,<\/strong> interpreters always work in pairs<\/strong>, sometimes also in threes, and the interpreters switch every 15 to 30 minutes.
\nBecause consecutive interpreting<\/strong> is often not needed for the whole day, but rather just for the duration of a meeting, a presentation or a speech, a single<\/strong> interpreter can be booked for such events.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text 0=””]I would be pleased to advise you on organising a team of interpreters<\/strong>. What does it cost to hire an interpreter?<\/span><\/h2>[vc_column_text 0=””]A daily fee is usually charged for interpreting which also covers the time required for preparation and debriefing.
